If you can believe it, this will be post 345. I am just shy of a year posting on this blog. As the year is winding down I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’ve accomplished and more so what I have not accomplished. I’ve learned a lot this year, but I’ve had a lot of trouble actually applying those things and sticking to them. It’s the follow-thru that is killing me. So I’ve decided it’s time for some extra help.

I did a bit of research and I found a counselor who specializes in mindfulness. She helps people with weight and all sorts of other problems (like addiction…sugar? diet coke anyone?) and she sounds like a good fit. Obviously I won’t know that until we talk but I finally called and made an appointment. That step sort of took me a few days to work up the nerve, but I did it. I go and meet her on Thursday and we’ll see how it goes. I’m looking forward to it – another new adventure!
